Fantasies -  One interesting fact of serial killers is 99% of all serial killers admitted to committing a violent act towards a animal, they get pleasure and satisfaction. In later like it is more than likely to lead  to humans becoming experimental test dummies

Neglect - Most serial killers have this one major sign in common. Almost all of the serial killers you will every read about, will state, that the problem started at home. Kids are neglected by either one or more parent tend to have problems later in life. They want to feel wanted or accepted and at an early age being neglected by your parents is a bad start for later in life. When neglected they feel lonely and later in life have relationship issues, due to never having them when younger

Physical Injury - This is the number one cause of serial killers. Especially head injury's, 70% of serial  killers have had some sort of head injury in their lifetime. Experts think this is where the aggression and violent behavior comes from.

Abuse - If abused any child is subject to want to harm something, they want to put someone through the emotional and physical abuse they are going through.

Motives/Reasonings

Anger - This is the most common motive of a serial killer. This is when a killer has hatred or rage for a group of people, in most instances, all the victims of killer will be alike in one way or another. Ted Bundy only killed women, and Jeffrey Dahmer only killed young boys whom weren't of Caucasian descent.

Sexual Needs & Desires - If this is the reason of why serial killers kill, it will be evident in the crime scene. Some serial killers fantasize of killing and fulfilling sexual desires to the point of perfection, and wont stop killing or trying until the point of reaching that goal

Power/ Thrill - This is when a killer has enjoyment and gets excited from killing or causing harm to people or animals, and in doing so they continue to kill, like for example someone with an addiction such as smoking, drinking, or gambling

Psychosis - This is when a killer is suffering from a mental illness and doesn't exactly know whats going on, and have no control over there actions. They think they are doing the world a good deed by killing another human-being, when they kill most think they have done nothing wrong. Most serial killers frontal lobe doesn't work for them so almost all of them fall under this motive.
